Peter Mullin

Peter Mullen

Peter Mullin grew up in Liverpool, always drawn to stories of the city’s hidden edges — the docks, the alleys, the people who slip under radar. After a career that took him through journalism, creative writing and a deep curiosity about power and place, he turned all his experiences into Crossing the Line. His aim? To shine a light on the invisible ties between the streets, the state and the individual.

In what reads like a thriller but is rooted in real contexts, Peter uses Liverpool’s gritty reality, the machinery of Westminster and the underworld of global trade as the stage for his characters. He believes every choice matters — especially the ones made when no one’s watching.

When he’s not drafting the next novel, Peter can be found walking river paths, tracing forgotten railway cuttings, or exploring old printing presses and second-hand bookshops. He lives with his family in the Northwest and remains fiercely proud of his city’s voice.

Why This Story Matters

For Peter, Crossing the Line is more than a thriller. It’s a question of identity, power and who gets heard. He opens windows into worlds we think we understand — and shows how easily the line between obedience and revolt can be crossed.
